They had several children, one which was Laura Jane Freeland. She married Samuel Pfeifer. Samuel and Laura had Fanny Bell Pfeifer that married John Troutman. John and Fanny are my grandparents. Edward was born in Adams County according to his civil war record. Several of Edward decendants are trying to find out who his parents are. My Edward was born in 1815 and died 1865 in Ohio, not the Edward that was in Iowa.
