James was married to Hattie Garrett Boothby Hodge in about 1893 and lived in Illinois and Indiana then he moved back to Bellepoint, Ohio sometime between 1930 &1935, at least that is what I come up with from various Hodge records I have such as 1930 census shows him in Blackford co, Ind and 1 of his sons Marriage applications shows him as living in Bellepoint,Oh as of feb 12,1935. the next time frame I have so far is a grandson to James In his obit on Dec 28, 1953 he is not listed. Would like very much to find more info on James and his family.

I have a WILLIAM BRADFORD b.1-8-1770 in Cecil Co.,MD d.10-19-1862 in Maysville, Mason Co.,KY History on him say's he was one of the original settlers on the lands in the Fox Military Survey No.401, on the Ohio River where he lived and died. He lived and died in: 1850 Census Maysville, Mason Co.,KY pg.108 1860 Census Maysville, Mason Co.,KY pg.70 Before living in Maysville he lived in: 1810 Census Brooke Co.,VA pg.678 (WV) 1820 Census Sprigg, Adams Co.,OH pg.16 1830 Census Sprigg, Adams Co.,OH pg.77 1840 Census Sprigg, Adams Co.,OH pg.52 Would appreciate if anyone can shed some light on the Fox Military Survey No.401, as I can't find any information on it. McGowan's had a large farm in N Tate township,my Clermont Co,Ohio 4-5-600 acres later owned by Reisinger family,who had no heirs,and gave their estate to the Bethel United Methodist church,who built a huge church complex. Portion of the former McGowan farms was flooded in 1972 by Lake Harsha.More was taken by the state for East Fork Park,around the lake, and the final portion has been subdivided,and fine homes built upon it..
