    1. [OHADAMS] HOWLAND Family Photographs
    2. Shelley Cardiel
    3. I’ve “rescued” two old photographs belonging to the HOWLAND Family of Ohio.  The first is a photograph of John HOWLAND which was taken at the Mulligan Bros. Studio in Cincinnati, OH likely sometime in the 1890’s with John appearing to be in his teens at the time.  In addition to his name, someone has also written “son of Uncle Willie” on the front of the photograph. The second photograph is one of Mr. J. R. HOWLAND of Ripley, OH which was taken at the M. 1. Re: [OHADAMS] New to the list.
    2. Hello. Thanks for the reply. I'll give you what little I have. My grandfather's mother was Lucille Elizabeth Francis. She married John Alford Slack on 4-8-11. Her parents were Shannon Francis and Ella M. Pistol Francis. I believe Lucille was born around 1894. John Slack was born in 1893. I know that Shannon is buried in a cemetery in West Union. I have a photo of his headstone. Unfortunately that's about it. My grandfather is 73 and never knew much about his family, so I'm trying to help him out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don't have any photos of any Francis family members, so if you've come across any, I would be interested in those too. Thanks for your help!! Lisa

The cemetery Robert is buried in is actually in Corwin a small town near Waynesville but they use Waynesville as the address. His wife Anna and son Tiffin are buried next to him. Tiffin is my grandfather, I have been to their graves many times. Sarah was living with her son in Seaman when she died in 1919 I don't know where she is buried, I read somewhere she was born in Cincinnati but don't know that for sure. The children of William and Sarah that I am aware of are John, James, Aaron, Robert, Marium and Mary I may have forgotten the others. What names do you have. I know that at one time James Benjamin lived with my great grandfather Robert in Harveysburg,Warren Co. Aaron and his wife Lidda also lived in Harveysburg, she is buried near my grandfather but I have not seen his stone anywhere near.
