    3. There was, by the 1790-91 winter,RICHARD GRAHAM'S Fort,on the Ohio just east of Concord,Lewis Co,Ky. Ky,or across from the mouth of Ohio Brush Creek,AdamsCo,Oh . I now have 2 proof's that NOBLE GRIMES, Lt John Crawford, and assorted Stephenson and Crawford kinsmen were together at Connellsville-New Haven,Pa as early as 1775. I found a diary in "Cross-Roads: Decriptions of Western Pa: 1720-1829 mentioning MISS GRIMES and MISS CRAWFORD fording a creek in 1775 at Connellsville,Pa - '125 Journal of Nicholas Cresswell" 1775 very Loyalist . Mentions Miss Grimes having too much Irish in her. Page 145 of Howard Leckey's "The 10 mile country and it's Pioneer Families" has a petition foe a new state,1779[?] 1782+? with JAMES cONNELL,BENJAMIN WELLS [Whiskey Rebellion tax agent] ;Lt John Crawford,NOBLE GRIMES, JOHN STEPHENSON's names together Noble Grimes attempted a court-house town for new Adams Co,Oh in abt 1798, just east of the mouth of Ohio Brush creek,or within 2-3 miles of RICHARD GRAHAM'S 1790-91 FORT ON THE KY bank . 1786,Ricgard Graham bought out Lt John Crawford's property at NEW HAVEN,Pa. We are talking of the son of Col Wm Crawford, tortured and killed,1782. . ___________________________________________________________________ Get the Internet just the way you want it. Also, I have included many sites throughout Kentucky and Ohio. Hopefully, those who are researching the Greater Cincinnati area will find it helpful. If anyone would like to link to the page, you are most welcome. I do not subscribe to any of the Ohio mail lists. If anyone does, could you pass this info along? Thanks. I haven't had a lot of luck with my Bond line, my father is the last of his family and he doesn't seem to remember very much. Is Louis Grooms descended from Abraham b.1740 from Maryland? Most of the Grooms in Adams CO seem to be from our line. I just changed computers and still have to change information from my old one so I can look it up. Sandy

    2. Margaret, first let me give you my new address, it is Rmcfarl@columbus.rr.com. I will be quitting Aol this month. My gggrandfather Andrew B. McFarland was murdered in 1854. I do know he was born 1 Dec. 1823 in Adams Co. Ohio. He named his son John Andrew and a daughter was named Mary Elizabeth. Also Andrew was a school teacher in Scioto Co. Ohio per the 1850 census of Scioto County. If you can think of anything else that may help connect. Thanks for responding. Bob in Groveport.

    2. Bob: Yes, I have the Adams County Male Enumeration Lists. They are a great source! It's my understand that Joseph McFarland (who married Susan Metz) is the son of Duncan McFarland and Nancy Forsythe. However, since I'm connected to the Metz family and not to the McFarland's, I haven't traced the McFarland's back. The McFarland's in my database are primarily those descended from Joseph McFarland and Susan Metz. Do you know who Andrew B. McFarland's parents were? Joseph and Susan did name a son George Andrew. 2. HI BOB, I DON'T REMEMBER THE NAME EUBANKS IN BUENA VISTA, OHIO. YOU AND I WERE IN CONTACT WHEN I FIRST CAME ON LINE ABOUT A YEAR AGO, AND I'VE THOUGHT ABOUT YOUR REQUEST OFF AND ON OVER THE MONTHS. I ASKED MY COUSIN, WHO WAS RAISED IN BUENA VISTA (HE IS---WAS 9 YRS OLDER THAN ME, AND HE TOLD ME THAT HE DIDN'T REMEMBER EVER HAVING HEARD OF ANY FOLKS NAMED EUBANKS IN BUENA VISTA....HE, HIS WIFE AND I WERE IN BUENA VISTA FIRST OF AUGUST....AND WE STOPPED AT THE HOME OF A CHILDHOOD FRIEND'S MOTHER'S HOUSE. I ACTUALLLY REMEMBERED TO ASK MRS. PRICE IF SHE HAD HEARD OF THE NAME EUBANKS IN BUENA VISTA....SHE SAID NO. SO IT MUST BE BEFORE 1910, AS SHE IS ABOUT 80. MY COUSIN & I WENT ALL OVER SCIOTO CO, AND ADAMS CO. AND GOT A FEW DEEDS, AND MARRIAGE CERTIFICATES, AND A SHOOTING DEATH REPORT FROM 1889, AT PORTSMOUTH....AND VISITED OUR OLD HOMES IN BUENA VISTA, AND OTHER AREAS THERE ABOUTS. I HAD NOT BEEN "BACK HOME" TO OHIO IN OVER 30 YEARS...SO IT WAS THE MOST WONDERFUL WEEK IMAGINABLE....SEEING MY RELATIVES WAS JUST LIKE BEING HOME..... I DON'T KNOW IF YOU REMEMBER OR NOT, BUT IF I'M NOT MISTAKEN, LAST YEAR YOU WERE ASKING ABOUT STOUT, OHIO, AND WHEELER & MARY COX....YOUR ANCESTERS. MY COUSIN AND I WENT RIGHT PAST WHEELER'S AND MARY'S HOME PLACE, ON STOUTS RUN WHILE WE WERE THERE ! IT LOOKS THE SAME AS WHEN I WAS A CHILD ! EXCEPT MUCH MUCH SMALLER! ! !! MY HOW I'VE GROWN !! ! THE HOUSE IS STILL STANDING, NEEDS PAINT BUT LOOKS AS THOUGH IT IS KEPT UP PRETTY WELL. ONE OF WHEELER & MARY'S CHILDREN INHERITED IT WHEN THEY DIED, A DAUGHTER...AT LEAST THAT IS WHAT WHEELER'S SON TOLD MY FATHER MANY YEARS AGO. HE WAS VERY BITTER ABOUT IT AS HE'D NEVER MARRIED AND STAYED HOME AND HELPED WITH THE FARM AND OLD FOLKS....BUT THE DAUGHTER HAD SEVERAL CHILDREN AND THAT IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHY SHE INHERITED IT INSTEAD OF THE SON....I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS NAME JUST NOW....STRANGE, I CAN SEE A SHORT MAN WITH A ROUND FACE, IN BIB OVERALLS AND A RED PLAID SHIRT AND A PALE PLACE ABOVE WHERE HIS HAT DIDN'T SHIELD HIS FACE FROM THE SUN, BUT I CAN'T REMEMBER HIS FIRST NAME... WE DIDN'T GO PAST THE CEMETERY WHERE MARY USED TO CLEAN AND PLACE FLOWERS ON THE GRAVES, IN THE WOODS JUST NEXT TO OUR HOUSE...AS NEITHER OF US HAD RELATIVES THERE, AND WE WERE RUNNING LATE TO BE AT ANOTHER COUSINS....SO I DON'T KNOW THE CONDITION OF THE CEMETERY. MY COUSIN CAME HOME TO ARIZONA, AND DIED UNEXPECTEDLY ON SEPT. 9TH! I STILL HAVE HIS PAPERS AND PHOTOS HERE AT MY HOUSE...LIFE IS VERY FRAGILE. I'M SORRY THIS IS SO LONG, BUT I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT THE QUESTIONS YOU HAD LAST YEAR OCCASIONALLY, AND THEY JUST SURFACED WHEN I WAS IN OHIO...I HAVE NO IDEA WHY, UNLESS IT'S BECAUSE YOU WERE THE SECOND PERSON, WHO CONTACTED ME ABOUT SCIOTO COUNTY, WHILE THE INTERNET WAS A TOTALLY NEW EXPERIENCE FOR ME..... I'M SORRY THERE IS NOT SOME INFORMATION ABOUT YOUR EUBANKS I COULD GIVE YOU. Goodbye and GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR SEARCH. PAT in Az.

In 1847 they are listed together on the Male Enumeration List of males in Meigs Township Adams County. I am pretty sure that this is your Joseph but he is listed as John there. 3. Hi1 My son's ancestress, Hannah (CASSEL/CASEL) EDWARDS, married an Amos DUNKIN/DUNCAN after her husband Samuel EDWARDS died in 1822. By the 1840 census she was listed as Hannah DUNCAN, in Brush Creek Twp, Scioto Co., near by her sons Jesse B. EDWARDS and John EDWARDS. Hannah DUNCAN was listed on the 1840 census with 1 male 10-15, one male 15-20 one female 5-10, one female 40-50. If these are her children, she must have had children by Amos who must have died before 1840 census. I can't find marriage record or death record, or burial information for Hannah (CASSEL/EDWARDS) Dunkin/Duncan in Adams or Scioto Cos.
