    2. HERMON B FAGLEY
    3. It's of little importance to few-but me, but there is 1 Ky yet un-named as across the Ohio from Adams,Clermont, and Brown Co,Oh. Named, east to west have been Lewis, formed 1806 from the next west,Mason Co.Ky. Next west ,formed from Mason Co about 1798 is Bracken. Campbell Co,Ky's 1st courthouse abt 1798,was across from Cincinnati, and it runs up-river to oppisite Pt Pleasant,Clermont,Oh. The forgotten county is Pendleton, from Campbell [AND BRACKEN?] about 1800. It only fronts on the Ohio River 4-5 miles in the Moscow-PtPleasant area, but my own Capt- Lt-Rev-JP George Brown lived there 1798-1802,and my Thomas Hitch,1798-1811. 3. I've searched Hardy Co years. Formed from Hampshire Co between 1782-87. There are tax lists for those years It was still Hampshire Co in 1782. I belong to the WVHAMPSH-L-request@rootsweb.com SUBSCRIBE joint Email list..My Email is being sent to several with HARDY WV sources, In Ohio, the counties just east of Fayette had many from Hampshire-Hardy cO- INDEED we shared a note yesterday that said the vet's of 1774 Lord Dumore's war to Pickaway,Ohio had spent years around the fireplace telling how pretty the Pichaway Co,Oh area was. I'm thinking Rev John Jeremiah Jacobs m Mike Cresup's widow might be the Jacobs family. 3. Hermon: I am having trouble tracking down some of these folks. My ancestor was Jesse Rumer born 5-31-1826 in Virginia (now Hardy Co. West Virginia) I can not get any information on sibs or parents. I have written to the gen society in Hardy Co. WVA and they say they don't have any records before they became a state and I write to the gen society in Virginia and they have no records on Jesse Rumer. I have him on a census (1850) in Fayette Co., Jefferson Twp. Jeffersonville, Ohio. It states that he and his wife, Carolyn Jacobs and their first son, Franklin David Rumer was born in VA. The second son Emory was born 1847 in Ohio. This is very frustrating. where do I turn from here? Do you have any suggestions? Do you have some contacts in WVA or VA. ? 3. Hi Sylvia, You had a msg. on OHADAMS-L about a month ago asking about a Nathaniel MITCHELL. I don't have any info on your specific Nathaniel MITCHELL, but there was a Mitchell family closely associated with my YOUNG family, and Nathaniel was a common name in both families. The MITCHELLs and the YOUNGs came from NJ to PA and then Adams Co., OH at about the same time, and there were several marriages between the families. What are some of the other names you have that are associated with this family? I have a good book about the YOUNG family, and if you give me some other names, they might be in my book. (I should make it clear that your particular N. Mitchell is not in this book.)
