    1. [OHADAMS] Reply to Post in my Guestbook
    2. Pauli Smith
    3. Hi Listers, Someone posted the message below in my guestbook questioning whether or not my website had any families from Adams County. They didn't leave a name or email address so in hopes that the person who posted this is on this list, will respond to their concerns here. >>Found your website but confused by title "Monroe Township, Adams County , Ohio. It seems to only be about the Driver family and not families of Monroe Twp.>> I'm not sure where you found the title, Monroe Township, Adams County, for the title of our site is The Driver Family Historical Society. However, we do have several families from Monroe Twp. Adams Co., OH, here on the site as my maternal ancestors have lived in several townships in Adams County, including Monroe, Manchester and Sprigg twps since the late 1700's to the present. These families include: Boone, Blythe, Ailshire, Polly, Nixon and Crawford, among others. To access records on these names, please go to the surname indexes and follow the links to each of the above names. Hopefully, in the near future, I will be able to add at least ten more surnames in my line from Adams County. I also have several photo albums on the site with Adams County related images, especially for the Boone, Ailshire, Blythe, Crawford, Polly and Price. I add new images as often and I can. Please come back and visit again. We would love to have you. Thanks, Pauli Driver Smith http://tdcweb.com/tdfhs The Driver Family Historical Society - devoted to the Driver Surname and Allied families.

    2. Hi, I am doing research on the Beam family in Adams County. My great-great-grandfather was William Beam. He was born in either Adams or Brown County about 1810. His father's name was John Beam. I have found his name listed in the Adams County census as well as the Brown County census. John had a brother named Joseph and both names are listed in the 1850 census in Sprigg township. Do you have any information on any of these people? I'd appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks, Karmen Johnstone charkar40@aol.com

    1. [OHADAMS] Eubanks/Paris Adams Co, OH
    2. I would appreciate any information on Edward or John Eubanks listed below. They were sons of Francis M. Eubanks and Anna Eliza (Lydia) Paris. They are listed in the 1880 and 1900 census in Adams County, Ohio. Anna is a daughter of Stephen D. Paris who died Feb 26, 1907 in Peebles, Ohio. Apparently Edward moved to Des Moines County, Iowa. The following is an excerpt from a book written by Mrs William John Gross, in 1941, titled “Glimpses of Parker-Knox-Paris Family, 1722-1941. Mrs Gross was the mother of Constance Gram who submitted some Paris genealogy to the Family History Center. page 113, Section VIII Children of Stephen D. Paris To Elizabeth and Stephen D. Paris were born ten children: Rozelle, Nancy, Samuel, Hugh, Lydia, Alice, John, Louella, Grant and Mary Francis. 1. Rozelle enlisted in the Union Army of the civil war and lost his life in battle. 2. Nancy married the Rev. Cyrus Riffle, a Methodist minister in the Kentucky conference. He assisted with the funeral services of Mr. Paris. 3. Samuel married Martha Riley 4. Hugh was twice married, First married Miss Staggs and later, Elizabeth Easter 5. Lydia married Frank Eubanks. She has a son Edward Eubanks, living (1941) near Mediapolis, Des Moines County, Iowa. Mrs. S. O. Smalley mentioned a John Eubanks as living in Ohio. Perhaps he is a brother of Edward’s. 6. Alice married A. Compton 7. John was twice married.... 8. Louella married A. Turley 9. Grant Paris married Cora Cassity 10. Mary Francis married James Wilson Smalley......... Thank you, Bob Eubanks

    3. Hi Betty, I have extensive experience in creating images for the web so that they will take up the least amount of space. Also, when I had Rootsweb hosting my Weld County, Colorado pages, I don't remember them limiting me to any amount of space as long as it was genealogy and historical based and related to Weld County. I moved my pages from Rootsweb only because I now have a domain name and my server allows me enough space to do about anything I want and I use FrontPage which Rootsweb does not fully support. If you need any help with the images, I will be happy to help. To see some of the sites I have created you can go to my index page at: http://www.hollyhockfarms.com Pauli Driver Smith > At 04:02 AM 02/15/2000 -0500, you wrote: > >My understanding of digital pictures is that they used many, many > >more bytes than a page of .txt or ,html data.
