I recently visited the Lawshee Cemetery where Walter Scott Williamson and his wife Priscilla Susan Powell (my gg-grandparents) are reported to be buried, but was unable to locate their stones. Does anyone know if they have markers or where in the cemetery they would be located. I'd like to visit the site again the next time I get up into that area. Thanks in advance to any help. One is apparently still at Lick Skillet Road, north of Rt 52 and the other one was south of Route 52. It was the larger of the two and this was the cemetery that was on land purchased by Dayton Power and Light. According to the article, all of the graves were moved to the Manchester Cemetery. I did not have time to go to the cemetery and check that out.

Re WARNER family I am related to Rhoda Warren who married Eli Taylor in Orange County Va., and they moved into Adams County with only one child Levi in the early 1800s' Trying to locate her parents and note there is a John Warren listed in the 1830 census as living next door. Anyone out there have a connection? I hope so. Hopeful always, Hazel Frost

Sharon, Thank you for the 1880 census. Besides telling me that she was still alive in 1880 it also tells me of another child in the family.Hester would be my husbands GGG Grandmother and I've been at a deadend on this side for a very long time.Hopefully this will open some more doors for me .I can't thank you enough for this information. Thank you again. Eileen Iowa
There seems to be some confusion about "gatewayed messages." When a message comes to this or any other Rootsweb mailing list that says "This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list," it means that the message has automatically been forwarded to the list from the Message Board at Rootsweb. In many cases - not always, but very often - the person who posted the message to the Message Board is not a subscriber to the mailing list and, therefore, will not see a reply that is posted only to the list. Although I'm sure most all the list subscribers enjoy seeing replies to these messages (I know I do), in most cases the original poster will not see the reply unless you 1) also send it to his/her personal email address or 2) you click on the highlighted hot link and post a reply on the message board. If you post your reply on the message board, it too will be gatewayed back to the list for all of us to see. Herma
This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: McClure Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YYB.2ACI/1593 Message Board Post: I'm looking for any information pertaining to the family of Holbert or Halbert McClure who had a son named William McClure. Holbert McClure is on the 1820 and 1830 census but believed to have died circa 1838. It is possible that Holbert came to Adams County, Ohio with his family between 1820 and 1820 from Rockbridge County, Virginia. Holbert may be the son of Alexander McClure.
Is there anyone out there that could do an obit lookup for a Peter WARNER between 1820 -1830. He was listed with family in the 1820 Adams Co, Sprigg Twp.census but the family was in the 1830 census without him. So I'm figuring that he died between that time . And also for a Mrs. Peter ( Hester) WARNER sometime after 1870. She was listed with her son Harrison WARNER in the 1870 Sprigg Twp. census. So I know she was still alive in 1870. Thanks you very much for any help on this. Eileen Iowa
