    1. [OHADAMS] RE: Decamp(s)
    2. Thank you Eileen. I actually didn't have any of the later Census data on David Decamp. I do think that it points to the Sprigg Twp David being the son of the Tiffin Twp David, but I've got to keep digging. I've checked cemetery reference books for a tombstone and took a few days vacation to walk through several of them in the hope that the people who complied the information left David (Tiffin Twp) out accidently. No such luck. Can't find anything on him after 1820. He drops off the face of the world. I may try to locate a LDS research center in my area and see if some of the microfishe may show a migration for him. He was already up in years in 1820, so I don't think he would have moved very far. Of course they were much stronger back then in order to survive. Thanks again for you research! Carl Sparks Nashville, TN

However, they may well have left some sons behind. Perhaps there is a connection. Do you know anything about where in Adams county these folks lived? Of course, there is no shortage of McClains. This is probably not your best lead. But I'll let you know if anything turns up. Please let me know if you chase your McClains back any farther.

    2. I'm hoping to find the parents of the David DeCamp who married Luracy Jane Edgington, Nov 7, 1847 I'm think this is a relative of my Mary DeCamp who married George Sparks. Since the Courthouse burned I can't seem to locate Mary's parents. I know from a secondary source that her father's name was David and he does appear in the Adams County 1820 Census with a wife and several children, but I can locate nothing else. Just looking for something to move this line back. Thank you in advance. Carl Sparks Nashville, TN
