I found him also in the 1900 census in Tiffin Twp, Adams Co. His first wife apparently had died, and he was remarried altho' the wif'e's given name was unreadable in the 1900 record on the web. I know now a lot about G-grand mother Rosa. I sent for her death cert. so I know her birth and death. I am able to follow her and her husband David W. Newman in 1920 Census I find them with my father who was orphaned with them. Rosa gives Ohio as her birth and once each PA and WV for her parents. So the most I learned from the death cert. was her parents names, Aurther Nelson and Elizabeth Freeman. And I can't find those two. Thanks again, Brenda

If you look at the 1880 household record for Lewis Nelson, neither he nor Rozett knew where their parents were born. Lewis is 28 and Rozetta is 19 at that time. That's almost a 10 year age gap. Other children must be around.
