Workman, a native of Wellston, passed away early Friday morning at the VA Hospital in Dayton. He was 69 years old and had been ill for the past three weeks. He was born January 7, 1896 in Wellston, the son of James and Bermoda Smith Workman. He was a retired employe of the Southwestern Portland Cement Co., a member of the Wellston Aerie, Fraternal Order of Eagles, and a veteran of World War 1. Surviving are three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Elsie Coyle, Mrs. Edna Mundy, Mrs. Alma Darling, and Roy Workman, all of Wellston and Fred Workman of Florida. He also left several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Rogers Chapel with Rev. D. H. Householder officiating.
