Article Text: Columbus, Ohio, May 18.--After being out three days, exclusive of nights, the jury in the alienation suit of Lieut. Robert DENT, of the fire department, against Frederick ZANG, pie manufacturer, returned a verdict to Judge DILLON of one cent damages. The sum asked was $10,000. The suit was tried once before and resulted in verdict for the defendant. The verdict carries with it the costs in both trials, amounting to approximately $1000, which the pie baker will have to pay. Attorneys representing DENT gave notice of a motion for a new trial. A few minutes after the verdict was returned to Judge DILLON, Judge EVANS, of another division of the county courts, handed down his decision in the divorce proceedings filed by Mrs. DENT against her husband. The decree was granted to the husband on the ground of infidelity. ZANG was named as a correspondent in the divorce suit. The result of the two suits made a double verdict for DENT in the same day. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ OH-Old-News ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ NewspaperAbstracts.com - Finding our ancestors in the news!
