Article Text: Bellefontaine, O., July 21.--Local attorneys filed today an application for the pardon of George R. GAMBLE, known as "king of firebugs," who is serving a seven years' sentence in the Ohio State Penitentiary for burning a grist mill in this city. All the police chiefs from the Great Lakes to the Pacific Coast were on the lookout for GAMBLE at one time. GAMBLE jumped his bond here after a charge of arson, but was arrested in California after a sensational chase by Sheriff HUMPHREYS.
