His wife was Mary Scudder b. abt. 1792. He is listed in 1821 as living in Orange Township. He last appears in the 1850 Orange Township census. I need info. about him coming to OH. Some sources say he came with his father, Joseph, and maybe brothers or cousins William and James. Others say he came alone. I need to be able to trace the Underwoods back to VA, and John is the key.
