He married Katherine Kloeb and settled in Piqua, Ohio. They had seven children -- Aloysius, Anna, Teresa, Mary, Joseph, Rosa, & Charley. He worked for George Pfistner there as a shoemaker then enlisted in the 75th Regiment of the Ohio Volunteers from 1861 through 1864. He applied for his Civil War pension in 1880 as an "Invalid." His wife then applied for his Civil War pension as a widow in December, 1911 in Illinois, following his death. Any information as to his date of death and location of burial would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
