The 1850 Darke Couty census identifies them clearly, and shows that they came from Pennsylvnia. My father, Robert Biteman (descendent of Samuel) compiled a compete geneology back to their generation but was not able to get farther. I located the 1850 census, which took me one generation further. I'm now trying to figure out where in Pennsylvania and where in Germany (the birthplace of Frederic, their father).
