However, Catharine/Catherine is a common Johnson name. One MD researcher has identified Alexander Johnson living in OH in this time period as a Johnson descendant of Thomas & Mary (Rogers) Johnson. There are two marriages in early Montgomery County for Alexander Johnson: in 1818 to Catharine Johnson, and in 1820 to Amanda Whitcomb.
