I am not related to them so really don't need this information. I was only trying to give you a possible lead to finding your relatives. The Ward Alexander that I went to school with would have been born in 1937 or 1936 as he would have graduated in 1955. I really don't have any further information but the people you mentioned would probably have been grandparents rather thant parents. The Troy Daily News has a good genealogy section on the net and you might be able to trace your family through them. I could give you the e-mail address if you would like. Sorry, I thought of this after I had started this message. They may be a good resource for you so e-mail me at J.Fabiano@juno.com and I will give their e-mail address to you. I will be going to Troy, Ohio (Miami County) in the spring to do some research on my family in Piqua and Troy. I could do some looking for you if you are not in the Miami Count! y area (Troy is the county seat). In the meantime, I hope this helps you.

Hello, I am looking for information on the Biteman family that resided in Newton, Ohio (Miami County). MY GGGG Grandfather Jacob Biteman was a farmer in Newton since at least 1840 - this is the earliest I have found him in the census. I have found them in the 1850, 1860 and I am waiting for the 1870 to come on line to get on that, I have found most of the family in other census reports, the only child that stayed in Newton (I think anyway) is Jacob. Jacob's wife was Susan (maiden name unknown), and they had 7 children. David, Joanne, Isaac, Anna, William, Susan and Jacob. Both Jacob and Susan and their daughter Joanne are all buried in Darke County. I know that David married a lady named Frances Nullery, Isaac married a lady named Nancy, Anna married George Warner, Susan married David Reed, William married Catharine Long and Jacob married Ella Sarah. Jacob has written his name Beitman and their is a library either founded by Ella or named after her in Newton. If anyone can give me any information on this family I would greatly appreciate it. I believe that they are related to the Biteman's in Allen and Darke County Ohio, but am still trying to prove the connection. Biteman really isn't that common of a name. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Deirdre Alheim

Hello, If anyone has access to the 1850 census for Miami Co., I would love a look-up. I am looking for 2 Daniel HOLLOPETERs and their families. One was born ca. 1803 and the other ca. 1824/25. Hello, I live in So. California and am new to the list. I am trying to establish--to another researcher's satisfactio--that the Daniel Hollopeter (b. ca. 1803) who md. Elizabeth Ingle in Miami Co. in 1831 (11 Nov 1831?) is a different person than the Daniel Hollopeter (b. ca. 1825) who md. Harriet Ingle in Miami Co. ca. 1848/1849. Having both these marriage certificates would be of great help. If you would be willing to obtain photocopies for me or can suggest how I might obtain photocopies of these records, please e-mail me privately.
