His first born was William Smith Collins b:9-30-1842 IN. The other sons names which are repeated in each genereation are:James, Marion, Jeremiah, John, Levi, Eligah (Lige), WilliaM and David. On different census Eligah is listed as William, Wilson and Eligah. He married Rebecca Emmerson b:1822 in New York. Most of the census' gave his birth as 1820 in Ohio. His marriage to Rebecca was under the name of Wilson. On one census it gives his birth place as Kentucky. This is very confusing. We do know he was in Ripley Co, IN and in Vanderburgh Co., IN where his second son James Marion was born. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.
