The 1850 Darke Couty census identifies them clearly, and shows that they came from Pennsylvnia. My father, Robert Biteman (descendent of Samuel) compiled a compete geneology back to their generation but was not able to get farther. I located the 1850 census, which took me one generation further. I'm now trying to figure out where in Pennsylvania and where in Germany (the birthplace of Frederic, their father). Like to correspond? Please write to me. Jim Biteman

Mary and Robert were married in 1865 in Huron Cnty,OH (have not found record of marriage).Starlin was sometimes spelled with the "G" but Robert commonly dropped it from name according to Mary's obit. I have no info on Robert's parents/family. Mary's mother, CINDERELLA SULTZER (sp?) was born in Virginia March 6, 1800, moved to Kentucky with father, Dr. Sultzer, when small then to Ohio in 1845. Lived in Indiana for short time. First known husband a SMITH, second ISRAEL STARLIN/STERLIN. She was married 3x. Don't know other husband's name and if was first or last. She was reportedly a relative of Abraham Lincoln. Any info on the above three people is very much appreciated. Robert & Mary Starlin are gggrandparents so am anxious for any news. Also looking for someone to research for me. Thanks in advance.

Discharged on disability in July 1862. At bottom of his "Certificate of Disability for Discharge" where it states "The place where the soldier desires to be addressed" is written "Troy, Miami County, Ohio." This is the first time I've found any mention of his possible living in Ohio. In 1868 he married in Madison, Indiana. Does anyone have any information on Roman Braun possibly living in Miami County, Ohio between 1862-1868? Thanks. William Fischer, Jr. wefjr7944@hotmail.com
