    3. Seeking info. WILLIAM .P. Davis- b. June 1781 ; d.Sept. 1820 in Miami Co. ; Buried in Riverside Cemetery in TROY. Married to Jane (unknown surname). It is thought that he was a WAR of 1812 vet. He had 2 children- GEORGE GROVE DAVIS ( b. Dayton Feb 1816 ) and CHARLES M. DAVIS (b. 1818). After WILLIAM's death JANE DAVIS married JAMES VANIMON. Both families spent most of their lives in Piqua where they owned property. Have more info. to share -but seeking parents and info. of WILLIAM and JANE ?. Thanks- Roy

    2. There is a possibility that my sister and I will be coming to Miami Co in September and I need some advance help. What is the best place to find deeds, births, marriages, divorces, deaths. What are the hours and days of opening. Are they all at one facility (court house) Where are the places for research located Any recommended places to eat - not fancy--just blue plate special types of places Any public golf courses or fishing holes close by for our designated driver who does NOT do genealogy.     2. I am researching the Shannon/Hendricks family that came to Miami County in the early 1860's from Canada. They settled in Piqua and Newberry. I am not sure if any of these families still habitat the area, but do know that some are buried in the Forest Hill Cemetery in Piqua.     3. Looking for a warm live body last known place was in Miami Co by the name of Lloyd J Pohlschneider. He had a brother Larry Pohlschneider that drowned in San Francisco Bay some time in the summer of 1969. He was in the service visiting his other brother. The body was never found. His sister in law wants to fill in the family group sheets on the parents who Franklin B. and Mary E. Casper Pohlschneider.
