Could someone give me a little history lesson on Covington? When was it established? Would I be able to locate marriage and/or birth records for the period of about 1860. I am interested in William Sullivan (b. 1833 Ireland) and Elizabeth Owen(s) (b. 1843 Scotland - both parents b. in Ireland). Interested in the family of John Runk. He was born in Baltimore Co. MD.16, Feb 1809, emigrated to Berkley Co. VA. with his parents in 1814, from thence to Clinton Co., Ohio, in 1835. his parents died in Ohio in 1836; he then went to Miami Co. Ohio where remained until 1845. He moved to Wisconsin and located at Grant Co. Wi. His wife was Rebecca Rankin, and he had two children while llving in Miami Co. Mary Catherine, and Sarah. He was married to Elisha. I would guess born about 1822. They had about 4 children that I may know of, 2 boys and 2girls. Mary Ester Hill was born 1852 in Ohio. She was the youngest girl. She was 25 when she married William Ross Dye 1877, Bartholomew Co Indiana. It was expected she should not marry before the younger sister was married, Ruth? My ggggrandfather, Daniel Freeman was born in Ohio circa 1810. He married Rhuhama Areheart in Miami County (probably near Piqua) in 1831.
