I'm an expert at searching census and other public information, but a complete novice at church info. Can anyone advise me how to find out what parish my family would have belonged to if I can determine their address. I do know that they seemed to move around ... did people change parishes as they moved around the city or did they continue to go to their original church? Is it necessary to know the exact parish or will the diocese have all the records in one central file? Will they have the records at all? I am particularly interested in baptismal and marriage records from the 1860s and 1870s. Thanks to anyone who can advise me. Janet
