It allows you the choice of surname, state and I believe year. I found many of my family in Cleveland. However, since I had made a trip to the CP Library a few years back and via microfiche got some of them, I found the list incomplete for my great grandparent who lived on Washington and I have a copy of the 1900 which includes them. It is a transcribed list and not a scan. For Maryland, I found only census from late 1700s to 1850. I understand this is an ongoing volunteer project.
