    3. I am looking for information about GEORGE RICHARDSON ADAMS and his wife, CATHERINE LONNEY. George had emigrated from Ireland to Cuyahoga Falls, Summit Co., in 1860. He married Catherine Lonney, born in Ireland and daughter of THOMAS(?) LONNEY, about 1870. In 1880 they lived in Twinsburg, Summit Co., but moved to Cleveland and both lived on Crane Ave. at the time of their deaths in 1909 and 1914. Was this a particularly Irish area of town? Their son HERBERT WILLIAM ADAMS married IDA MAE PARK, whose grandfather JACOB PARK had been born abt. 1814 in Butler Co., Pa. of Irish parents. I have had no luck in finding his parents or where in Ireland they were from. I have traced George Richardson Adams back to Ireland, County Leitrim, Kiltoghert parish. His father Richardson Adams was listed as a tenant on land of a Rev. Percy. All the census entries I have for the family indicate Richard, his wife Mary, and George and Catherine were born in Ireland. However, George and Catherine's death certificates say they were born in England? Anyone familiar enough with history to know why (or if it's even plausible) that an English family would move to Ireland as tenant farmers in the aftermath of the famine? Any thoughts or suggestions would be much appreciated. Connie in Idaho
