That is basically all I know about the McKennas. But I knew that Bridget and Peter were in Haverstraw, NY and that James Peter Lynch was born there. James Peter was born August 5, 1858 in Haverstraw. Then after 1860 I couldn't find them in Rockland County, NY (Haverstraw). I knew that James Peter Lynch's brother, John Lynch, worked for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, so I thought maybe they went to Cleveland after NY and that is why John ended up living there. So, when I went to the city directory and then to the census for 1880, I found them in Cleveland at 45 Mulberry Street. Then looking in the city director for Cleveland, I find that there are McKennas at the same address and area. Then I realized, ah.... Bridget McKenna Lynch must be related to these McKennas and that is why they traveled there. Peter Lynch disappeared from the census though, and I find him in the city directory and then not in the city directory around 1863 - 1865. Wondering if he was in the civil war or died some other way about that time. Any information you may have would be truly wonderful. You can reach me during the day at [email protected] or [email protected] I won't be home until later tonight and then gone Tuesday and Wednesday. Thanks so much for contacting me. I look forward to hearing from you.
