Alice~ As I was explaining to Annie, I was curious about a timeline for the COONEY side which emigrated. My great gran Margaret "Peggy" (nee COONEY) FRIEL arrived in the USA in 1865. She married Henry Thomas FRIEL in Cleveland at the Cathedral in 1869. In the 1900 census her older brother Edward in mid 60s was living with them on Washington St. My mother states there was another brother John, who married a Mary FRIEL (either a cousin or sister of my g grandfathers). The John COONEY in the obits, wife Mary (nee FRIEL) just does not fit the profile. My g gran died in 1909. Since her birth was pre 1864 on Achill, I cannot locate any other data. Do not know her father's nickname or given name. Had hopes the marriage certificate would have some data as those in the marriage record from St. Patrick's Bridge Ave. However, no such luck! My Irish cousin Martin MCFADDEN, Streamstown Westport, is married to an Ann COONEY from Achill. Ann investigated for me but hers, is not the correct COONEY family. Mary Ellen Chambers
