Hi Annie,        I too am researching McMANAMANs.  Mainly Thomas b. abt. 1837, IRE.         Wife was Anna MURPHY, b. Jun. 1837-1840, IRE.         Her father was John MURPHY & mother Mary mother GALLAGHER.         Her sister was Catherine (McGINTY) and brother was John MURPHY.        The MURPHY siblings were b. in Newport, Burrishoole, Co. Mayo.        They wed in Cleveland on Dec. 23, 1856.         Children were all b. Cleveland from 1857-1877.         Their names were: Mary Ann (John B. McCARTY), m. bet. Jan 1876-Aug 1877, Cleveland        Patrick, never married        Margaret "Maggie" (EMBERTON),        Catherine "Katie" (MORAN),        Ellen "Ella Rose" (HALLIBURTON),          John, b. 1872-d. 1873,        Anna (ARNOLD).        The family moved to Milan, Sullivan Co., MO shortly after Anna's birth.        A Michael McMANAMAN was both a witness at their wedding and a Baptismal sponsor for the oldest child in Sept. 1857.  Other sponsors surnames were: KERINS, GALLAGHER, (John and Catherine), FERGUS, SLEVIN, KERNS, and GAVIN.        What McManamans do you have?   Jo Banks
