Annie~ You will do fine. All this rain, humidity, dampness, does not help the aching bones of glorious senior people! Enjoy! I was trying to place a time line on your great grandmother. My great grandmother Margaret "Peggy" (nee COONEY) FRIEL married at the Cathedral in 1869. I know she had an older brother Edward who was in his mid 60s in the 1900 census and was living with my g grandparents on Washington St. Mother states there was a brother John who married a Mary FRIEL who was a cousin or sister to g grandfather. The John COONEY in the obits with a Mary FRIEL as his wife does not quite fit. (Can't remember why). There could have been sisters as siblings who emigrated too. My g gran was from Achill. My problem is she was born pre 1864 and don't know her father's nickname or even given name. I do know that both g grandparents were bilingual as was my grandfather. My Gran from Westport area could only say her prayers in the Irish. I only wish I had known or paid attention when I was a child to the language. There were various phrases dropped in passing but those long hours I spent with him, I could have learned. He was a great gentleman and we were very close. He died suddenly in 1946 when I was 9. How is your son doing? You both are in my thoughts and prayers. Mary Ellen
