They didn't seem to come out of hiding until the 1930 Census ED 108 1298 W. 28th St. Edward O'Donnell 51yrs Retired To US in 1900 - North Ireland Mary - wife - 45yrs. - To US in 1900 - North Ireland Children: Julia 22yrs. Edward 16yrs. Anna 12yrs. Martin 9yrs Tillie 18yrs. The deaths of Edward & Mary confirm this is the right family. I went there as it confused me that they listed ' North Ireland' as where they lived before coming to the US. Only one Edward arrived in 1900 at Ellis. He was 21 yrs. & sailed on on the Servia, June 18, 1900 Going to a cousin: Mr. Howell (?) Detroit Ave., West Cleveland. He left ' Snowhill', which is in Co. Fermanagh. This is Ulster, I think. This doesn't have to be your Edward. The age and date matched that's all. There were 260 Patrick O'Donnells and 538 Mary O'Donnells. Here's one that may belong to one of you.
