Thank you all for your assistance with the Calvary Cemetery. I called them today and spoke with a very nice woman who apologized profusely for not responding sooner to my query. She said they've been inundated with requests recently. She then volunteered to get the information for me while I held on the phone. Because of her help, I now know 2 things I didn't know previously: the exact date of my great great grandfather's death and that he was definitely a Catholic. The odd thing though is that she couldn't find a listing for my great great grandmother ... she died earlier than Miles, but one would think they'd be buried together. Maybe she was known under some other name... I was under the impression that they could tell you who else was buried in the same plot, but when I asked, she told me that I would have to know the other names. It looks like I am now going to have to try to find out what parish they were in and see if I can find some parish records ... am I correct that it is difficult to get records from the Diocese? --Janet
Did you include a small donation to cover postage and copies?? It took a month but the woman spent a lot of time going through the books and wrote back eventually.

Thje phone number is (216) 696-6525 jim -----Original Message----- From: Janet <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Thursday, July 20, 2000 9:05 AM Subject: Re: Calvary and affiliated cemeteries... >I wrote to them on June 21 and haven't received anything. Janet......I sent an email to Calvary Cemetery requesting information over 3 weeks ago and received no reply. Yesterday I called (Phone....216-641-7575) and they got the information that I had wanted while I waited on the phone. Of course, it was a local call........Pat
I wrote to them on June 21 and haven't received anything. Does anyone know a phone number for them? I have all sorts of records stating my family was buried there, so that can't be the problem ... --Janet

Hi, The only 1890 census is one listing vets. Eleanor (Cleveland)
Hello Eleanor! James never married. He became ill while still a young man and eventually went to live in the Lorain County Home after 1901 where he died in the 1930's. Thank you! Jean
In the 1897 death record of an ancestor, it said her place of residence was in the 18th Ward on Bercher or Berchiss Street?? Does anyone know where this is????
