Yes, I am quite sure this would be the family I am seeking. Obediah married SARAH SWINEHART ( guessing abt 1862 as she was born abt 1844 in OH). Their first child , WILLIAM ELMER SMITH, was born in 1864 in IN. He was my grandfather, but I never knew him as he died in 1922 and I was born in 1927. Thank you for your help and any suggestions.
