It is, indeed. Is there any way I can learn more about Marie? She was my great-aunt and the most elusive of Great grandma Katies children, as she died in 1950, a year before I was born. I don't know if she ever married, or had children. Hi Roger, If you don't already belong to the Hamilton County list, by all means join. It is like this list only for more info than just census and only for Hamilton Co. Wasn't sure what census years you had them on but I looked up 1920 and Kate is still head of house and all children still home-Elsie is the only one marr but she and hubby John Ismael (spelling per 1920 census) are also living with Kate. Elsie and hubby "appear" to be living with his parents in 1930 although they are listed as a separate family living within the same building so their relationship to the other Isneal (spelling per 1930 census index) is not stated. Perhaps this is Marie in 1930 although age is off a little and parents place of birth is off--mistakes are common --, OH, Hamilton Co, Cinn, Ward 13, pg 172, sheet 3A, ED 142, taken Mar. 25; Longview Hospital for the insane; Marie Dreher, inmate, female, white, age 35, single, can read & write, b. OH, parents b. OH: I didn't see Kate or John in Hamilton Co index but I didn't spend a lot of time on them since I don't know if you already have it. This may or may not be my great-aunt Marie. Marie's parents, Victor and Katie (Will) Dreher, were born in Bavaria, but census takers of that era weren't always attentive to such things and often weren't given correct info. Margaret, my grandmother, was married at the time of the 1930 census to Edward C. Manne who lived with the Drehers at the Waverly Ave. address. I do belong to the Hamilton County list and they have been of some help in narrowing down the Drehers and Mannes. I may check out Longview Hospital to see if there are any record that can be released to me about Marie. Thanks again. Roger D.
