I first used From free www.ancestry index There are 25 George Bates in Ohio none in Loraine CO in 1850 13 BATES family's in Lorain Ohio 1860 9 George Bates/Bate old enough to of been a father in 1850 as head in 1860 Ohio no matches 1850 1 Rachael Bates 5 Rachel Bates one of these Rachel Bates born 1810 is in Lorain Ohio 1850 -4 Clarinda Bates in Ohio none were born in Ohio and all three older taking this data I look to see what females were born 1847 Ohio with name BATES in Lorain Ohio Only one girl firts Amelia Bates in 1847 Lorain Cordelia Bates 1847 in Hancock Ohio Now I check to see names of male BATES in Lorain Ohio old enough to be a father and husband to the Rachel Bates born 1810 in Lorain Ohio We have a Daniel Moses Thaxler Bennet I will look around in Hancock Ohio Ok now I will look for just a Clarinda 1847 born in Ohio living in Ohio in 1850 Got a Clarinda GATES who matches in Monroe OHIO George Gates 1813 M432 712 233 Oct 5 1850 dist 107 Malaga TWP Monroe Ohio hose 37 George GATES 37 farmer 200. estate Clarinda is not with him Nothing I will see what can be found in 1860 on Hertiagequest maybe I can work backwards better to 1850 if I had more data If you could share were Clarinda Bates is in the last census you find her in Her married name when did she die were is she etc Her husbands name and age were he was born her childrens names Her siblings names if any and ages Did they move away from Ohio what year? Maybe it can be worked back wards with last census to 1850?
