The 1850 index shows 3 results for Philo MARTIN but one is a child and the others were born in CT (age 36) and born in NY (age 30). Neither had a wife named Kate or Katherine. The only Kate MARTIN listed is 6 months old. There is a Katherine MARTIN listed, age 36, but she's the wife of a Jackson MARTIN. I'm sorry the couple don't seem to be showing up in 1850. I also checked the 1860 index without any success. Could the couple have moved to another state?
