Hello, The 1840 census only gives the name of the Head of Household but my index isn't showing any results for Seymour PRYOR in OH or KY. I did find the enumeration for Johanna BERRY: Source Citation: Year: 1840; Census Place: Mayslick Twp, Mason Co., Kentucky Roll: 119; Page: 56. Since Mason County is just across the river from Ohio, I'm trying to find out whether he left KY and moved to a free state, namely Ohio. I have relatives (not Seymour's family) who moved to Brown County, OH, from TN beginning in 1843. Seymour's wife was PARMITIA (I have no other info on her except her name.) His daughter MARIAH may have remained a slave in KY. She was 2 when her father was freed by JOANNA BERRY.
