Hi! I wonder if someone would have the time to look up a census for me. I am researching Airy Johnston. From what I can find out I would guess her birthdate as 1824. In 1880 she had a farm in Stafford, Monroe Co., OH. She had a son named Benjamin Johnston who was born in 1862. There were no other children listed. If she had any, they must have been grown and away from the family. In 1880 it does not even list any help living on the farm; however, her son was 18. She never gives the birthplace for her parents, but does say that she was born in OH. I would like very much to know if she was on this same farm in 1870 and if so, who lived there with her. Her son would have been about eight. I have not been able to find a husband's name or anything about him. I am beginning to suspect that perhaps she was never married and, as one of our librarians suggested, perhaps she had moved there from another area to one where no one would know her. Could you please see if she turns up in the 1870 census? Also if you had any suggestions, I would welcome them. Thanks. Sandy **************Start the year off right.
