Judy, Did you ever get a reply for this request? My 1900 OH index doesn't show any results for David ROSE, or his wife that look like a match. Since all his children appear to be born in KY, including Lydia, b. 1899 and Winifred, b. 1902, it would seem that he always lived in KY. None of the children's names showed up either. Maybe he traveled to OH on occasion but never established a residence that would count him in the census. He was probably missed by the census taker in 1900 or he may have been missed by the index transcriber. The Ky census lookups say they can find him in 1880, 1910, 1920, 1930 but no 1900. He could just have been missed but as he was in Ohio once I thought I'd look for him in 1900. Appreciate any help. I checked the Kentucky census. I think he must have just been missed. There are about thirty David Roses. The fartherest back I am sure of is John Rose who had several sons all of whom had David or Bowen in their names as the wife of John's last name was Bowen. All of their sons named a son David or Bowen or both and so on down the line. There is one in a cemetery in Middletown, Ohio for whom I still can't find out which line. Thanks so much for your effort. I appreciate it.
