There is a 'George Wolhetter' listed as a groom on page 86 of the "Marriage Records of Hancock County, Ohio -- 1828 thru 1864," compiled by the Hancock County Chapter, Ohio Genealogical Society (1986). The wedding date is 30 July 1837 & the bride is listed as 'Christina Smals'. On the same page is a groom with the name 'George Woolheter' who married 'Susannah Fellers' on 21 Sept 1843. Jeanne The George who married Christina Smals, is George Jr and Christina is Christina Kramer Smaltz. The George who married Susannah Fellers is George Sr. . Susannah was a widow. This is part of my Hancock family, so I know that the census spelling is Woolheater and not Lucas. Hope this will solve the mystery.
