I looked at the image and George Wolheter Sr. is handwritten on the census and George Wolheter Jr. is handwritten as living next to him. Have you looked at the image? Thanks, Sandra. I appreciate the input. I agree with what you note; which is why I ask the question: Could it be a "copy"-writer mistake? I had learned that several copies were to be made for different official uses/purposes ... ? :-) Jeannie ----- Original Message ----- From: "svanwyk" <s.vanwyk@verizon.net> To: <OH-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 27, 2004 10:45 PM Subject: Re: [OH-CENSUS] Copies of Census ??? | I looked at the image and George Wolheter Sr. is handwritten | on the census and George Wolheter Jr. is handwritten as living | next to him. Thanks, Carol, for the input. I think it could be a W. as his middle initial -- by 1860 he has a son named George W. LUCAS. So, if the original was a bit smudged or scribbly, the "copy"-writer would just guess as best he/she could ... I think they were supposed to have a copy made for local records, or something? Anything is possible!!! :-) Jeannie ----- Original Message ----- From: "Carol S." <aceso225@flash.net> To: <OH-CENSUS-LOOKUP-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, June 27, 2004 10:15 PM Subject: Re: [OH-CENSUS] Copies of Census ??? | Speculation only, could it be a middle or first name that he didn't | oridinarily use?
