Am trying to find 1920 and/or 1930 census info on: John Joseph Dickman born ca. 1885 in KY. He also was known as J. J. Dickman. I've seen his last name spelled- Dickman, Dickmann, Dieckman, Dykman, and Dieckmann. We lose track of him in Sept 1917, when he escaped off a labor truck and disappeared. His wife filed for divorce in 1918 stating his whereabouts were unknown. (A handwritten note in the margin of the divorce decree states that he might have gone to Chillicothe, Clark or Ross Co., Ohio.) On July 23, 1918, J. J. re-enlisted in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He gave his home address as 331 Kirke St., Covington, KY, and his next of kin was listed as Myrtle Dickman, wife, 3083 W. 6th St., Cincinnati, Ohio. When he was honorably discharged on June 5, 1919, he received travel allowance to Pittsburg, PA from Hoboken, New Jersey. At one time, after discharge, he gave an address of 2045 Catherine St., Philadelphia, PA. Thank you for any help that you might be able to give.
