So often on the census look-up lists, I see the volunteers telling the person requesting the look-up that they will "send them the image". What bothers me about that is that maybe that information would help someone else, but it if it is only sent to the person requesting the information, then no one else sees it but that person. Isn't there some way that the volunteers could also post the information to the list, so that it others can see it, and it would also go into the archives, so that maybe someone else could be helped by it later.
