You're right, Beverlee, thanks. I have some documentation already, including Annie's first marriage record and the ship manifest when she came over from Ireland with her mother Bridget Gordon. Right now I'm trying to figure out when the Yorks family moved to Elyria from Pittsburgh so I can get an idea when Bridget died. From what I understand, you have to have a date of death in order to request a death certificate in Pennsylvania. Maybe that's not true on a county level, not sure. It's so much easier in Ohio! Anna Yorks has children from a previous marriage. Anna Burke 21 and Mary Burke 18 are listed as step children of Charles Yorks . Suggest you look at 1910 Clairton, Allegheny PA (indexed Yorke) Charles & Anna married six years children and his Mother-in-law Bridget Gordon Beverlee To contact the List Administrator, send an email to: Kaesemein@aol.com Did you miss a message? Jeanne if the 1920/1930 censuses are accurate the Yorks would have moved between 1916 (Ethel) and 1920 (James). Have you checked with Allegheny PA mail list to see if they can check a Cemetery Database?
