> > Could someone please look for the 1930 census record for my gr-grandparents, Charles and Annie Yorks in Lorain County? They should be on Lake Ave. or Walnut St. in Elyria with at least three children still at home, Charles, Ethel, and James. Charles was born in New York and Annie in Ireland. Hoping it may give me more information on where in Ireland. > Thanks very much, > Jeanne Here are your ggrandparents! And Anna immigrated to the US in 1887 so there may be some clues here for you! Good luck! Best regards, Terri McDonald Hauk
Jeanne, Terri has given you great clues. The 1920 Elyria Lorain OH, same family suggests another. Anna Yorks has children from a previous marriage. Anna Burke 21 and Mary Burke 18 are listed as step children of Charles Yorks . Suggest you look at 1910 Clairton, Allegheny PA (indexed Yorke) Charles & Anna married six years children and his Mother-in-law Bridget Gordon Beverlee
