Greg, There is a David G. Wolf in Cleveland, Cuyahoga Co., Ohio. He is age 32, born in Ohio, married 7 years, no children. His wife is Lilly, age 25, born in Russia, immigrated in 1897. There is a George Wolf family nearby (possibly his parents), and a Jacob Wolf family also (possibly his brother). They are in ward 6, Enumeration District No. 131 on page 5A. Marilyn, Thank you so much for looking. I have come to the conclusion they may have been traveling and were missed by the census taker. However, I can't find them in 1870 either. I'm not having any luck finding Nicholas and Dorothy, but find a Hamilton Weaver 19, Lidea Weaver 20, and Noah Roush 21, living with a Joseph & Margaret SIEGREST in Mason Co., VA. The date of enumeration on the page is Aug. 10, 1860. There's also a Noah M. Roush age 21 indexed and enumerated with parents Mark & Mary ROUSH 2 houses away. The handwriting is hard to read and the census transcriber has her indexed as "Lideo", 10yrs. old, but it looks like 20 to me. I tried numerous combinations of spellings with birthplace/birthyear as well as the soundex index and still can't find anything. I looked up Nicholas and family in the 1850 census and noticed that the SIEGRIST and ROUSH families were their neighbors so I looked a couple pages forward & back for the WEAVERs in 1860 but still didn't find them. Maybe they were missed by the census taker or they were traveling or something. Marilyn ----------------------original message------------------------------ In a message dated 10/5/2007 11:24:09 A.M. Diana, there is a Virginia M. Perry, age 9, listed in Montgomery Co., Ohio, Dayton Ward 12, Enumeration District 57-129, page 1A in the 1930 census. I don't think it is the one you are looking for, however, because her mother's name is listed as Nellie. Also, Virginia listed in 1920 is 8 months old, which would indicate that she was born in 1919 rather than 1921. It appears that Heritage Quest has indexed little Zella with the surname STIMATES. That is what it looks like to me also. It may be that the surname is STAMATES, which is a fairly common spelling of the surname also. ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com

Hi- I'm not having any luck finding your McCann family, but I did see a William H Arahood on the Ohio death index, February 22, 1920 in Fayette County. I notice that their names were spelled McKan or McHan on the 1920 census, and I've tried soundex and exact for them in 1930, with no luck- I'll keep trying. Eastern Daylight Time, valee@webtv.net writes: Could you please look for Elizabeth Barner in the 1910 Ohio (probably Cuyahoga or Lake Co) She was born, I think, in 1901. Her parents, August and Frances Barner both died 1906 and 1908. I found two of her sisters living with an aunt, Florence Nieding, but cannot find Elizabeth. Many thanks. --------------------------------- The 1900 census shows August & Frances with Edna 8, & Lillian, 6, but also with a 4 yr. old daughter, F. Lydia BARNER. The 1910 index shows her indexed as Lydia BARNES, living with George T. BARNES, age 47 widow, and his son George W., age 23, his wife Anice, age 21 and Lydia, age 15, niece. Is it possible that the F. Lydia in the 1900 index could be E. Lydia? The E standing for Elizabeth? Marilyn ************************************** See what's new at http://www.aol.com
