I checked the Kentucky census. I think he must have just been missed. There are about thirty David Roses. The fartherest back I am sure of is John Rose who had several sons all of whom had David or Bowen in their names as the wife of John's last name was Bowen. All of their sons named a son David or Bowen or both and so on down the line. There is one in a cemetery in Middletown, Ohio for whom I still can't find out which line.
