Hi Victoria, I tried various spellings of Bedeskey and found no Joseph. Do you know when he was born? The 1930 indexing at Ancestry.com is available to anyone. http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=6224&ti=0&r=0 Try different spellings. I got results using Bedeskey, Bedesky, Bedeski. If you find him, inquire at the state census list. The results may tell you where his parents were born, his age and that may give us more to search with in Ohio. I'm looking for Daniel Young in the 1860 census. His wife died months before the census and so he is probably living alone. I am sorry, I don't know his birth date or place but he was born probably between 1810-1815 in Ohio. His wife died and is buried in Clinton Co. They were married in 1854 and so I don't know if there were any children. If there were, they would show up on this census. I found George W living in Highland County with a daughter and son-in-law. Ira might be in Highland County living with a brother's family, so won't be on the index. There are several Badgley's in Highland Co. Also looked under Badgely, Badgeley and Bodgley. I found 1 Ira, but wife was Bessie. looking for IRA and FANNIE BADGLEY in 1900 but i dont know the county thanks missy
Hi Missy both Diana and Rose have spent hours looking for Ira & Fannie in 1900 and other census but they have been elusive which usually means that either the family was missed or the name was misspelled. Do you know of any other spelling for BADGLEY? I did note that the Ancestral file lists Ira as the son of George W. BADGLEY and Mary and an IGI entry lists their marriage as abt 1847 Another IGI Entry lists the marriage in Clermont Co OH of George W. BAGLEY and Mary CRUSE 3 Nov 1847. 1880 Census Neville lists George W. BADGLEY, wife Mary, George, Turpin, Anna and Etta. I don't know if any of this is pertinent to your research but thought I'd ask.
