    3. Hi Rose : Thanks a lot for your help. I know he was an Anglican Clergy and was born in London 177??, three of his children were born in New York, may be Julia was born in Vermont. I have both records, his son Solomon or Saloiman???, died in Bucyrus, Ohio at the age of 14 years old, it could be about 1828, Julia died in Iowa 1853 and William died in Chile, South America in 1872 as US Consul. His son William was the owner of Western Journal and Bucyrus Advertiser about 1829 - 1834 when he sold it. Julia married Jacob Yost in Bucyrus, Crawford 1832 William married Lucinda (Haymaker) Auter in Columbus, Ohio 1841. This Crosby could be in 1840 census but where? 3. Beverlee...thanks for the lookup. I got nothing from the '80 census either. This man (Fritz) j.ust disappeared shortly after his marriage to Anna Sophia Schroeder. Her father was William and mother was Sophia Bremmer....no ages known nor where they came from. This is all I have on them so far except that Anna was married 3 times and had several children.

    3. Liz, I am posting this a 2nd time. I sent this reply out but didn't see it post to the list. It does show up in the archives. Strange??? Liz, I didn't see that your John Vrbecky had been found, so I gave it a try. I couldn't find him in OH in 1910 or 1920, using many variables for searching. I went ahead to 1930 indexing and found this grouping using the indexing at Ancestry.com http://content.ancestry.com/iexec/?htx=List&dbid=6224&ti=0&r=0 1930; Cook Co, IL; VRBECKY, John 39; Marie, 33; George, 5. It may be very helpful to request this 1930 census lookup at the IL census list to learn more. 2. Beverlee
    3. Jeanne, I don't have access to any census but online 1880 so tried every possible combination I could think of" Fritz, Bedrich, Federico (Diana mention Fritz is nickname of Frederick as is Bedrich and Fredrico). I tried them alone and with Ann/Anna/Sophia in turn and didn't have any more success then either Rose or Diana. Next tried OH Historical Society Death Index 1913-1937. There are several SCHWANDT but no Frederic until 1936 which isn't likely the one you seek. The Cleveland Public Library didn't list a likely SCHWANDT. (Smile) they have to be somewhere, so suggest you start with a known detail. Fritz SCHWANDT married Anna Sophia SCHWEDER in Cuyahoga 1878 so repost a query but for the SCHWEDER family in 1870 Cuyahoga. Look for Anna Sophia . Fritz may not be boarding with the family but at least you will have details about his wife. Family History lists alternate spellings of Schwader, Schweider so you might include those spellings also. 3. Hi Diane, 1850 is the first census to have names of all people in the household listed. Prior to that it is only by head of household and then male/female age groupings. I did find 3 possibilities in Hamilton Co -it will at least give you some names to check. 1830, OH, Hamilton Co, Columbia twp, pg 181; Jediah Sturge (this is as the name is written and indexed); Males; 1 under 5; 2 in age 10 - 15; 1 in age 70 - 80; Females; 1 under 5; 1 in age 5 - 10; 1 in age 40 - 50; end of this household. 1830, OH, Hamilton Co, Madison twp, pg 190; Daniel Sturges (spelling as written and indexed); Males; 1 in age 5 - 10; 1 in age 30 - 40; Females; 2 under 5; 2 in age 5 - 10; 1 in age 15 - 20; 1 in age 30 - 40; end of this household. 1830, OH, Hamilton Co, Cinn,2nd Ward, pg 35; Anne Sturges (spelling as written and indexed); Males; 1 in age 15 - 20; 2 in age 20 - 30; 1 in age 40 - 50; Females; 2 in age 20 - 30; end of this household. I wonder on this one if the name of head is really Anne- given the the ages of males and females in the household but that is what it has. In looking for William Sturgis in all of OH in 1830, there is a William Sturgess in Clermont Co and a William K. Sterge in Greene Co. If you want a reading on either of these, you can repost to the list-please be sure to give spelling as given above since that is how they are indexed. Hope this helps.
