    1. Note From List Admin.
    2. Hello Everyone, I want to take a moment to send a BIG " THANK YOU! " to all our wonderful volunteers on this list. You have been doing an outstanding job of finding ancestors for our subscribers and I'm very grateful for your dedication. Some of you long time subscribers may have noticed that I have been absent from the list for most of the summer and I just wanted to tell you that my husband became ill back in the spring and was diagnosed with advanced stomach & esophgeal cancer. My time was spent caring for him through the summer and he passed away Aug. 14th. I did take time to check the list each day to deal with any administrative problems, but I wasn't able to take time to do lookups. I'm trying to pull myself together to deal with the changes in my life, and am beginning to do a few census lookups again, but I greatly appreciate all you wonderful people who have kept the list humming along while I was absent. If any of you want to respond to this email, contact me at my private email address: Kaesemein@aol.com so this topic stays out of the list archives. Thanks again everyone, Marilyn in Ohio - List Mom

    1. Re: [OH-CENSUS] 1840/unknown/MC KEE/MC KY
    2. Eileen, There are no results for William Mc KEE, McKEY, McKY in Butler Co. Here are the only ones listed in the 1840 index, but since no other family members names are listed, it will be difficult to know which one might be the correct one. William Mc Kee Union, Brown, OH 1840 William Mc Kee German, Harrison, OH 1840 William Mc Kee Paint, Highland, OH 1840 William Mc Kee New Alexander, Jefferson, OH 1840 William Mc Kee Fayette, Lawrence, OH 1840 William Mc Kee Westfield, Medina, OH 1840 William Mc Kee Cass, Miami, OH 1840 William Mc Kee Lost Creek, Miami, OH 1840 William W. Mc Kee Shalersville, Portage, OH 1840 Have you found him in later census records in Butler Co? Names of family members were listed beginning in the 1850 census. If you know the name of his wife, you might want to find him in a later year first and then work backwards to see if he always lived in Butler Co. 1. Re: [OH-CENSUS] 1870/any county/HALL, William
    2. Jamie, I didn't see a reply for your request. I'm afraid finding your William is an impossible task with the information you provided. The 1870 index shows 199 results for William HALL that are born in OH. 25 of them are born between 1858 to 1860 but without a parent's name, a county of residence and names of siblings to narrow it down, there's no way of knowing if any of these are the correct person. She was a sister to my great grandmother. Sometime after his marriage date of 1902, he moved to Skagit County, WA where I do have him in the 1910 census reports for Sedro Wooley as follows: John T. Hull, age 51, OH OH OH, m. 8 years Virginia, wife, age 25, PA PA PA Daniel, son, age 5, WA Helen M., daughter, age either 4 mo or 4 yrs. (writing on ancestry.com was not clear) John T. Hull was the grandson of Theodore Hull. Last known whereabouts was 1912 in WA when his sister, Matilda "Tillie" Hull Basim wrote a letter of condolence on a death of a family member back home in OH and mentioned that "John is well". So far, I've not been able to find John T. Hull in either the 1900 or 1920 census reports which leaves me very little other data that might be helpful in finding him.
