I haven't had any luck finding this family in the 1930 OH index. I also tried the PEARCE spelling and checked the Soundex index but nothing shows up as a match. George's mother Sarah LEMLEY PIERCE FREEMAN died in 1933, but I have found her in the entire census until she died and George was not living with her. George died Jan. 9, 1949 in Pike Co. Ohio. Anna's parents were Samuel and Mary MILLER RINEHART. George and Anna were married Nov. 26, 1892. George was born in Pike Co. Ohio.

I would appreciate a lookup in the 1840 census for a Herman Kahl who was born in Hanover in 1827. He married Catherine Stahl Deinzer in 1868 in Butler County. He may have gone by another name also because I can not find him in the 1860 or 1880 census. I wonder if there are any Kahl's in the 1840 census in Butler County. Could someone please check the 1820 Census for SLIMMER I believe there were 4 Slimmer families listed (copy I had access too was very poor) I believe head of households to be John Jacob David Samuel also would like to know sex & ages of each household member(if available) Thank you, Jackie

Ok I took a really close look at it, zoomed in to 200% and used the magnifying glass and I read Machinist Making Repairs (Reapers) and the 3 letters or 4 at the end are hard to tell, I even went down the list to see and found 2 others with the same thing, is it possible that it could be a company within that area and those are the initials. I looked back at the previous page and there are 3 people together who have the same thing, and after looking over the rest of the document, I have concluded that it could be the month of JUNE, not sure why the person would do that. But if there was a machine shop in the area that did some woodworking or metal working it could be the company initials or a short name. Just a thought. Trying to locate Newell G Chilson in 1870. He was born Oct 1844 in OH of a MA father and a NY mother. I believe his parents may be George Newell Chilson b 1810 MA and Cornelia b about 1825 NY. In 1880 Newell lived in Trumbull Twp, Ashtabula Co In 1900 he lived in Geauga Co In 1910 he lived in Geneva in Ashtabula Co. In 1870 George Chilson lived in Trumbull Twp, Ashtabula Co but Newell is not with the family.
