Hi: I think the 68-yr-old is the right one. There are lots of mistakes in the census, I know. Someone found Margaret for me in 1900, but couldn't read her age. She married William Delaney in 1847 or 1848 in Belmont Co., but by 1850 her parents and siblings were in Guernsey Co. What I'm looking for is her children's names so perhaps I can find them in the 1880 census. Thanks! Ann if John Harp is the son of James and Louise/louisa then he was born August of 1889 or 1890. Father would be James M Harp and mother Louise J Hoots. Nc birth records has a listing for one of their sons Robert Harp and it shows Louise maiden name as Hoots. James M Harp born about 1858 in Nc died 3/16/1927 in Davie Co Nc.
